Description: The Twin Strength is a new model designed by James Cheal for the mid-length lover with the added flare of a winged pin tail. Designed for more fun in smaller, weaker conditions, The Twin Strength is built for those beach days where having fun and catching waves takes precedence over your high performance shortboard.

OUTLINE: The outline has a relatively full nose for paddle power and speed in flat/fat surf. The middle section is curvey (nice rail line to turn from) with the wide point fairly centre. Through the tail, we continue the curve which gets broken up by a wing that pulls into a rounded pin tail, allowing for increased pivot in bottom turns.

ROCKER: Following on from the Mid Strength, the Twin Strength has a medium entry rocker and a medium tail exit. Combining the familiar curve under foot from the Mid Strength, the Twin Strength will feel loose in the pocket yet solid and engaged on the face.

CONTOURS: The bottom consists of a single in the nose and under the front foot, into a double through the fins and out the tail. This combination has been known in the Mid Strength line of surfboards to make a longer board feel a lot lighter and shorter under foot. A well balanced and forgiving bottom for all surfers

PERFORMANCE: Through the R & D of this model, the Twin Strength was noticeably faster down the line as there is less fin resistance. combining that with the loose feeling winged pin tail, the Twin Strength flyes down the line but maneuvers in transition with ease.

When testing with the team, there were 2 different styles of surfing that can be done with two variants of twin fins. A more upright twin feel will feel loose in the pocket and in turns and will work better in short and sharp conditions where transition maneuvers are a big factor. Comparing that to a keel styled twin, the Twin Strength will have more glide and down the line hold which can be very beneficial for people who are looking for speed and control
