Larry Mabile is a well-known surfboard shaper based in San Diego, California, with over four decades of experience in the industry. Mabile started surfing in the early 1960s and quickly became obsessed with the art of surfboard shaping.
In the 1970s, Mabile began working with legendary surfboard shaper Skip Frye, where he honed his craft and developed his own unique style. He eventually started his own surfboard brand, Mabile Surfboards, which is known for its high-quality, hand-crafted boards. Mabile’s surfboard designs are inspired by the classic boards of the 1960s and 1970s, but with a modern twist. He’s known for creating boards that are both functional and beautiful, with an emphasis on clean lines and minimalism.
