The 71′ Twin is an accurate reproduction of the Australian inspired twin fin with high aspect glass on fins that was all the rage in 1971. Subtle changes have been made, i.e fin placement and mellowing the S curve in the deck make this awesome little shape perform better than its original version while keeping it’s integrity and soul. We believe the Egg took over in popularity in the early 70’s eclipsing this shape and that it never got the chance to be fully developed. With todays materials, tools and progressive shaping knowlege – completes the trajectory of evolution for this model that never got the chance back in its day.
