Volcanic Construction: Firewire’s Volcanic Construction is a proprietary surfboard manufacturing technology that incorporates a high-density aerospace composite sandwich layer into the board’s construction. This layer is made up of a lightweight, closed-cell foam core, which is reinforced with a layer of volcanic basalt fiber that is sandwiched between layers of fiberglass. The resulting surfboard is lightweight, durable, and environmentally friendly, with a high strength-to-weight ratio that provides excellent performance and durability.
